Thanks for checking it out, Matt, and yes, the "video" is pretty much
for the use of the YouTube venue... I've considered using just a blank
screen in a case like this, and the ideas you put out are also good
ones.

You could put a can of beans on camera for ten minutes and it would still be
more entertaining than the vomit you dribble from your chin, Duckery. Good
goddamn grief.

You've written a poem after all these years,

No, but even if I *had,* it would still be better than any of the horse
feces you sling at the audience.

You've written a poem after all these years,
No, but even if I *had,*
Since you are unable,
I am perfectly able of creating a poem. I shall not do, however, on the sad,
pathetic tauntings of a drunk like you.

Going over old material to possibly retool for reading between sets while

the 1990s, including some interesting pieces. In this thread, I'll be
posting selections from those for comment, critique and suggestions for

comment: You are really bad at this and should stop immediately
critique: Everything you "write" sucks and comes across as a third-grader
with ADD throwing a Speak-N-Spell across the room to form random words
suggestions: shut the fuck up...die...get a haircut and a job...stop being
such a douche.

Why would I waste precious gas to get to a concert that the promoters
decided to feature you on the end, Duckery? There's a good reason for that,
you know. You stink and could clear out a grocery store from aisle 14!

Dream Tears
Spanish guitar flutters.
It was 1895 or so,
I was in a dream.
I met my bride on Saint George Street,
sweet brown nameless bride.
In the big clapboard city market house,
train station dream place.
Her eyes and smile,
her sparkle of wit, my dream wife.
We sit with happy conversation.
Across the huge room,
I see the drunken unreconstructed rebel.
Swearing and pushing people.
I nod to her
that it's time for us to slide.
We cut through the side room bar area,
crowded ---
I look back,
my heart sinks,
She is not behind me.
I don't see her anywhere,
among these happy ghosts.
I step out on this street,
waiting, looking,
no sign of her.
I step back in.
Coming through the opposite
far entrance I see...
The parade of proud klansmen.
It all becomes clear to me,
they took her.
My sweet smiling nameless bride.
I step back onto Saint George street,
salt breeze and fish smell in the air.
I sit with a group of fellow ghosts,
beaten and grey under an awning,
and I cry --- floods and torrents of tears.
Spanish guitar flutters.
-Will Dockery
Were you like eight when you wrote that? Man, it sucks.
Many years ago, when I still had black hair, bronze skin and the body
of a Greek God...

Did the museum ever notice that you stole one of their statues, you lying

<Catshit snipped>
That's some close reading, Cat, I mean, I didn't pick up on his coffee
reference, just its mention, which he often makes, probably even when
I've been gone for long spells.
I liked Will's choice of oldies, obviously one of his holocaust pieces,
obvious enough, considering the recent chatter here, that there was no
need to mention what the writer and reader already understood. But there
was nothing about the poem that I liked, it insulted my literary
sensibilities, I wrote much better stuff in fifth grade and used
semicolons. I don't think Will thinks my comments were insulting or
mean-spirited, and I know they weren't entirely honest, only in the
sense that the ten-years-old swipe I wrote instead of my first reaction,
to accuse him of stealing one of your poems. Swearin-to-God.
Well, I asked for comments, suggestions and critique, and had put the
disclaimer on it that it was an old work written when I was a child...
and you followed PJR's rules of giving comment & critique that's both
honest & helpful, so no complaints from this side of the fence.

I'm out of coffee, but have to go downtown and perform soon, anyhow.
